Philippa James and Emma Davies founded this travelling reading room in 2023, inspired by the award-winning publication What They Saw: Historical Photobooks by Women, 1843-1999 by 10x10 Photobooks.

The reading room presents a diverse selection of historical and contemporary photobooks by women, and adopts a wide interpretation of the photobook including classic bound books, zines, self-published books and book sculptures.
